Collection lanes — the holster

Every lane in editorial/intel/REGISTRY.json, measured by store growth (never by a lane's own logs — see editorial/intel/README.md for why). Refresh queues a pull request; cadence puts an unscheduled lane on a schedule the drain enforces. Both take effect on the collection machine's next 20-minute heartbeat, not instantly.

Request queue & drain

drained every ~20 min while the Mac is awake

queues a no-op snapshot request — when the "measured" stamp above moves and the request clears, the whole queue → drain → push loop is proven live.

The wire — public river (worker-managed)

fetched by the Cloudflare cron, not this machine
The cron fires every 15 minutes; this decides which firings actually fetch (same control as Engine). Feed on/off and tag colors live at Sources.

Social listening — internal lane

never rendered publicly

Reddit and Google News block Cloudflare egress, so this lane is pulled from the collection machine and pushed to KV. Refresh queues that pull.
